Shea butter is a fat extracted from the nut of the African shea tree. It is usually yellow in colour when raw. Unrefined, refined, and Ultra-Refined Shea butter can be ivory or white in colour. Shea butter is a triglyceride (fat) derived mainly from stearic acid and oleic acid. It is widely used in cosmetics as a moisturizer, salve or lotion.
 
The rich content of Vitamin A in raw shea butter helps to moisturize and glow the skin. Its perfect for cracked and dry heels, hands, rough elbows and knees.
Vitamin E which is abundant in shea butter, has anti aging properties which helps tissue cell regenerate and soften the skin to reduce wrinkles and diminish stretch marks.  Shea butter is used to relieve nasal congestion and also used as a sun block. It also has antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties that fight yeast infection. This is ideal to prevent diaper rush for babies.
Raw shea butter can help improve blood circulation promoting cell regeneration while providing improved collagen production. It is also used to make soaps.
